Communication & Marketing Manager – Shipping (english version)

We are looking for a dynamic person who is passionate about developing and leading our communications work with a focus on shipping and related issues. Communication that will contribute to the business’s strategies and goals, rooted in sustainable transformation within shipping.

What does the role broadly entail?

You will play a central role in positioning our organization towards our most important target groups and stakeholders, which also includes today’s and tomorrow’s employees. As Communication & Marketing Manager, you will work closely with and support our operations in both internal and external communication. The work involves, among other things, positioning business areas to prioritized target groups and stakeholders by creating knowledge about the operations, services, and values, as well as strengthening relationships with existing and new partners, prioritized alliances, and stakeholders. Your work also contributes to ensuring that our employees feel well-informed and understand their role in the business to prioritize and take responsibility for their work.

  • The position reports to the ”Vice President Group Communication” and is part of the management team for the Shipping business.
  • Location: Stockholm
  • Permanent full-time position, 6-month probationary period
  • Possibility for hybrid work

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for further developing and implementing communication strategies and plans
  • Ensure that communication activities support strategy and goals
  • Plan and project manage communication projects and initiatives
  • Plan and produce content tailored to target groups and channels for internal and external communication channels
  • Measure and analyze the effects of communication efforts
  • When needed, handle media inquiries and participate in crisis management situations
  • Be part of a central communication network for all communicators in the group
  • Be a part of and actively contribute to cross-functional issues

Who are you?

You are a person who spreads positive energy and has a strong drive, making things happen, and you enjoy working strategically and operationally both with others and independently. Furthermore, you like working close to the business, and you have the ability to switch between analytical and creative work.

Qualifications:

  • At least seven years of experience in Corporate Communication
  • Strategic approach and good ability to translate strategy into operational work: planning, executing, and following up/measuring effect. Taking responsibility for the process from start to finish.
  • Experienced project manager
  • Excellent writer with documented experience in planning and creating engaging content tailored to various channels
  • Interest and experience in working with images and video material and basic editing skills
  • Interest in and preferably competence and experience in using AI tools to optimize and streamline communication work
  • Fluent in both English and Swedish, spoken and written, with good stylistic ability
  • Experience working closely with executive leaders as an internal consultant on communication issues

Special skills:

  • Good knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and CMS (Sitevision and WordPress)
  • Experience in communicating and marketing larger projects, complex products, or business models, preferably with a focus on sustainable transition
  • B2B marketing, including content/account-based marketing. Experienced purchaser of consulting services
  • Experience managing corporate accounts on LinkedIn and good knowledge of social media, specifically SoMe
  • Experience and insight into environmental and sustainability issues
  • Used to creating credibility and interest in the product
  • Knowledge of shipping is an advantage
  • Experience in an international arena
